My Alaska Trip に追加
The Alaska State Museum, in the new state-of-the-art Fr. Andrew P. Kashevaroff (APK) State Library, Archives, and Museum building in Juneau, presents Alaska’s unique history and diverse cultures. Exhibits include an expansive collection of Alaska Native materials, fine art, objects from the Russian-American period, mining, fishing, forestry, World War II in Alaska, and tourism. Science-on-a-Sphere is a six-foot globe showing animated displays of planetary environmental data. There is a children’s room, with a climb-aboard replica of a sailing ship. Three light-filled galleries offer temporary exhibitions. Upstairs, visitors can find the State Library and the State Archives with Alaskana collections, newspapers and magazines, and more. Café and gift store on site. Photos by Lara Swimmer.
